Grand Opening Logicor Prague–Průmyslová: Transforming a logistics space into a stylish event venue!
On Thursday, November 27, we officially opened the new Logicor Prague–Průmyslová area in a way that perfectly captured the evening's motto: Spring into the future!
On the site of the former Hostivařské metal spring factory we have created a space which symbolises the best in modern logistics, sustainability, and a new way forward. The opening party confirmed that even a logistics hall can be an elegant setting for a social event.
Lights that map place and history!
The evening started with a video mapping that wonderfully both illustrated and connected the history of the site with the present, illuminating the industrial hall and transforming it with an impressive light show. The spring motif, honouring the main product of the original spring factory, appeared in the projection, accompanying thoughtful details which even included a large metal spiral, which later served the acrobats during their impressive aerial performance.
Presenter and singer Jan Smigmátor hosted the evening, interspersing his time at the microphone with musical contributions that gave the program a pleasing rhythm and relaxed atmosphere.
Opening ceremony and ribbon cutting:
On the main stage, Logicor was represented by Pavel Rufert - Director of Logicor Czech Republic, Alžběta Pastrňková - Manager (Asset Management), and Libor Zbojan - Senior Manager (Project & Technical Management). Together, they presented the story of the project, the technical construction solutions, and the value that the new development brings to Prague's urban logistics. The highlight was the ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony, which officially launched a new era for the location. Representatives of AFRY, general contractor Kajima, and other partners also made a respected and welcome presence on stage.
Spirals for Health Clowns
The evening also had a charity event in favour of the non-profit organization Zdravotní klaun (Health Clown). This organisation brings joy and psychological support to children and seniors in hospitals. Guests could purchase special spirals – the symbol of the evening – the proceeds of which were donated to the foundation. Logicor contributed CZK 200,000 and, together with the guests’ donations, the amount was ceremoniously handed over to the foundation’s representative, Mr. Vlastimil Nigrin.
Music, acrobatics and accompanying programme
The Smigmátor Band and Tonya Graves provided wonderful musical entertainment, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere. The Moon Act acrobatic show, visually and artistically used the spring motif of a large metal spiral suspended in space to provide an exceptional experience for the audience.
The afterparty was then taken over by DJ Michael Burian with accompanying violin. During the evening guests could partake of drinks mixed during the bartending show, visit a themed photo corner or relax in the lounge zone plus craft workshop, where it was possible to make their own spiral – being both a Christmas decoration and an original souvenir representing a symbolic new beginning.
We opened the premises for the future
The evening event showed that Logicor Prague–Průmyslová can have many more faces than simply being a modern logistics park. For us, the most important thing remains that it is:
a space that respects the history of the location,
setting a new standard for urban logistics,
a fine example of sustainable development,
a place with energy that connects people and ideas.
The Logicor Prague–Průmyslová complex completes our transformation of a location with a strong industrial tradition. On the site of the former Pérovna steelworks, where metal springs were produced since 1935, there is now a modern urban logistics park with flexible warehousing and office units. Our complex combines functional spaces with sustainable elements – photovoltaic panels, charging stations for electric cars, and intelligent LED lighting alongwith a smart metering system.
